Wedding on Fire!
Now obviously I'm not a copy-writer, and I certainly hope our wedding this coming June does not catch fire, but I'm more than proud to announce that our wedding invites have made their way onto the Studio on Fire blog – Beast Pieces! I decided I am so proud that I'd attempt a little cross-blog-pollination by posting our invites to this blog as well! (photos courtesy of Studio on Fire) Now you can get all the printing details at Beast Pieces for yourself, but I'll mention that this job was described to me as a "nightmare on press" for it's registration demands and large areas of solid colour. Good thing we had nothing but faith in the talented staff at Studio on Fire, and now, nothing but praise!

Spring Has Sprung
Well, perhaps it hasn't sprung just yet, but it certainly feels like it's about to. As our weather continues it's unseasonably warm trend I think it's appropriate to divulge a sneak peek at our about-to-launch Garden City Shopping Centre spring campaign. Not all of the photoshoots for this campaign had the same characteristics. Some items were large, and some items were very small. Some had challenges in maintaining light quality, others with positioning, and of course – photoshopping. In the end, we certainly had a lot of fun completing the final design, and we're very pleased to make them public. If you're in Winnipeg, be sure to look up to blue skies in the warm days ahead and you're sure to spot these fun billboards.

Richlu Catalogue Nears Completion
Another year, another fabulous Richlu catalogue. Last night I spent the better part of 7 hours press-checking this year's version, and I'm happy to report everything went off without a hitch. Our client liked our Signature-Award-Winning cover design so much we decided to recreate the magic for another year. In lieu of the final printed piece, here's a tantalizing taste of what's to come.

All Wrapped Up
Neuhaus has Christmas all wrapped up. For a gift this year for most of our clients, we decided to do something a little different and created a 'Christmas Gift Wrap Survival Kit'. After a seemingly never ending amount of design, bow tying, folding and assembly, all 50 packages are now off. Included in this neatly packaged present are 3 large sheets of screen printed wrapping paper, 1 pair of scissors, 1 tape dispenser, 2 spools of ribbon, 6 gift tags and 1 re-useable gift box. There were a few clients, however, who we adorned with delicious chocolates instead. Why you ask? Our fingers started cramping from all the bow tying. Ok, Ashley's fingers started cramping. And we couldn't ask her to tie another bow for fear of a lawsuit. Thanks to Ashley for all her hard work. (please don't sue the company.)

The best part of this whole gift? The metallic gold wrapping paper! Many thanks to Paul of Modern Man Screen Printing for the help with this project.

A Moving MTS Spot
Who here likes motion graphics? If you raised your hand, then count yourselves among us here in the office. Anytime we have the opportunity to make a pixel or two fly across a screen, Tyrone, our resident web/motion graphics expert gets giddy. Of course you wouldn't realize he's giddy given that he doesn't talk much. But you can see it in his eyes. They get this glint in them whenever someone mentions the words "graphics" and "motion" in the same sentence. Unless of course the sentence was "Man, this would be a great project if we could use motion graphics but we can't so don't even get your hopes up Tyrone." Anyhoo, that wasn't the case with this project. We did use them. And it was fun. And Tyrone was happy.

There's no place like cityplace
We first rebranded cityplace around 8 or 9 years ago. Since then, we've produced untold numbers of campaigns, promotions, ads, and even a jingle (which we should actually post here sometime, as it is a sweet little ditty.) The latest and greatest project we've done for cityplace has been the re-launch of their new site cityplacewinnipeg.com. It's a simple, straightforward look at what cityplace has to offer. Click on over and give your eyeballs a treat.

Portfolio Updates
We're working on updating the portfolio section of our website with the latest and greatest projects we've been creating. Check back soon to see all the new work. Until then, here's a little taste of things to come. Oh, and just a tid-bit of useless information (because I know you were all wondering), there was only one printer in town who would even attempt to do a die-cut spinning wheel without a rivet (it's magical, I know).

Countdown To Igloo Village
We received our official Magic Igloo Makers this morning, just in the nick of time. We're pretty excited to see the final product, and even more excited that in 7 short days we're finally going to put them to good use. If you don't believe me, check out these excited faces!

Christmas sneak peek!
We've been busy here at Neuhaus over the last few weeks preparing our holiday gift. It is not yet complete, but here is a little sneak peek. (hint: it involves gold. A lot of gold.)

Making Igloo Magic – Feb 5-7 at the Forks
No, we're not talking about cuddling up to your loved one in an igloo (although it is your choice). We're talking a great winter product and an even better charitable cause. In collaboration with the Magic Igloo Maker we will be spending 48 hours in an igloo to raise money for the Children's Hospital Foundation. Originally this event was to be held in December but due to frightfully cold temps, we had to postpone until this weekend. If you haven't heard of the Magic Igloo Maker yet, you will soon. The Magic Igloo Maker is a specially designed plastic mould that makes interlocking snow blocks to create big, strong, safe igloos easily and quickly. It works will all types of snow and can be built by just about anyone regardless of age.
Keep in touch this weekend through our neuhaus facebook page, at twitter.com/neuhausdesign or right here on our neusblog. If you'd prefer to donate online rather than in person, you can go to goodbear.mb.ca and click on the Making Igloo Magic link!
