Business Development Manager

Full-time, Permanent, Base plus commission

As Honest Agency’s newest team member, you will be responsible for new client acquisition. Your role will require identifying best-fit prospects, developing and executing lead generation strategies, building relationships with stakeholders, and representing the Honest brand in the market.

You will have the full support of the Honest Partners and our entire team, however, it will be your responsibility to lead the business development function for our brand. As need dictates, you may also be tasked with building out and leading a business development team dedicated to engaging like-minded, high-value prospects and converting them to long-term clients.

Responsibilities include:

• Establishing relationships with best-fit prospects across Canada and beyond, understanding their problems and points of pain, providing strategic resolutions and converting them to high-value clients
• Developing a data-driven acquisition strategy resulting in a predictable revenue model
• Represent the Honest brand in all manner of communications and interactions
• Develop, manage, and nurture a list using CRM software, using the generated data to leverage opportunities
• Sourcing RFP’s and writing proposals for best-fit opportunities
• Work with the rest of the Honest team to onboard new clients ensuring a smooth transition and a meaningful and valuablebrand experience
• Reporting to the Partners on progress and working with them to overcome challenges

The ideal candidate will have:

• A proven track record and experience in business development/acquisition
• Experience in and understanding of marketing and brand strategy
• Demonstrated ability to build client relationships
• An innate sense of curiosity and empathy
• Excellent communication, organizational and reporting skills
• The desire and aptitude to work both independently as well as with a team
• Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
• A high level of self-awareness
• Experience with Indigenous communities is an asset
